HYBRID SOFTWARE DELIVERS A GREAT LEANING EXPERIENCE

By editor Morten B. Reitoft

So! A few days ago, I spent some time in the Auditorium at printing-expo.online, and again I learned a lot. As you enter the tradeshow, you can either visit exhibitors or turn right straight into the Auditorium. I noticed that the program changes from time to time, so today, I decided to look at the presentations from Hybrid Software.

Hybrid Software is not an exhibitor at printing-expo.online but presents 18 films/tutorials about their solutions in the Auditorium—great presentations of various topics and easy to access. However, I do miss a few things - to make the experience better. A short description of each of the sessions would be great - especially since some of them have a duration of up to about 20 minutes.

Hybrid Software delivers a competent software suite. For those who don't know Hybrid Software, the company's headquarter is in Belgium and now with subsidiaries in Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, China, and the US. Hybrid Software creates software solutions for the labels and packaging industry under brands like Packz, Stepz, and Cloudflow. The Software enables printers to edit PDF files, impose, automate, and optimize for production!

The presentations are broken into easy to comprehend tutorials. As mentioned earlier, something that easily can be found on Hybrid's website - but yet again, who goes to a real physical tradeshow, enters the educational area, and sees something never published before or after?

So dig into the Auditorium at printing-expo.online, and see for yourself what Hybrid offers.

--- a more general thing ---
Printing-expo.online is in many ways new, and though it tries hard to resemble the physical tradeshow, there are few things that it can't. When I am at a tradeshow, I am there 100%. I can't easily be interrupted by email notifications, or the phone, or the fact that I can do other things simultaneously; therefore, entering an Auditorium where the presentations are not live is a bit odd. The platform can have LIVE events, which makes more sense since films you can always watch at any given time, at any given platform, on any given website. However, I do like the ability to combine presentations across different vendors and topics, making it easier to imagine end-to-end solutions - that is, however, not what the Auditorium at current delivers - maybe an idea?

--- back to Hybrid Software ---
As mentioned, the presentations are good - however, you can't connect to Hybrid directly from the Auditorium, and as they don't exhibit, you will need to find Hybrid otherwise. When I visited the Xeikon booth - reviewed last week - I could reach out for demos and even contact representatives directly on the platform. When a company isn't exhibiting, that isn't an option. I would like that - also for people/companies presenting in the Auditorium.

Conclusion?
Well - I like that I can find a wealth of information from various vendors and speakers in one place. I find the Hybrid presentations great (except for the music), and having easy access without too much hassle is great! As this is not an evaluation of printing-expo.online as a platform, I will leave this for later and just conclude that I will check out the other "speakers" in the Auditorium, and I will look forward!

Thanks for your comments, Morten. I believe the reason that you can't connect directly to HYBRID Software is because Global Graphics joined Printing Expo Online before the acquisition of HYBRID Software. All of the other Global Graphics companies - Xitron, Meteor Inkjet, and Global Graphics Software - have dedicated booths and can provide information about their own products or HYBRID's products. Perhaps we should look at adding a dedicated booth for HYBRID. In the meantime, it's easy to request more information from www.hybridsoftware.com. Best regards, Mike Rottenborn CEO, Global Graphics PLC
