Ultimate TechnoGraphics Reveals Cutting-Edge True Shape Nesting Module

Montreal, Canada. May 4th 2023, Ultimate TechnoGraphics Inc, the leader in imposition and finishing automation software, is pleased to announce a new cutting-edge first-class true shape nesting module. This next generation functionality is available as an additional module to Ultimate Impostrip® and is built to maximize space usage on a sheet or roll.

The imposition style of tightly nesting shapes is often referred to as True Shape Nesting and it is typically used in folding carton, corrugated packaging and wide format printing. This new module will be available for full market release with version 2023.2 of Ultimate Impostrip® planned for Q4. “We have been seeing more and more cross-over in the market”, says Julie Watson, Ultimate TechnoGraphics CEO, “and this requires adaptive, open and powerful solutions to maximise productivity. Ultimate Impostrip® becomes the platform of choice for these customers.” “Convergence in the market delivers enhanced workflow challenges,” says Andrew Bailes-Collins, Head of Product Management at Ultimate. “Now customers will be able to rely on a single centralised solution to manage their varied work when it comes to imposition, nesting and ganging across different product types and devices. Combine this functionality with upstream/downstream integration and finishing automation with drivers for 60 finishing devices, and you have key components that enable our customers to optimize their workflow investments, reduce maintenance and training requirements and ultimately be more efficient and competitive.” “I speak to crossover customers everyday,” says Ray Duval, VP of Sales, “for example a commercial printer may also be printing wide format work, a direct marketing printing service provider may also be offering die-cut options, a photo printer may be offering both photo books as well as other photo gifting or boxing options, a label printer may also need to produce specialised booklets, etc. But these customers have the common need to automate and to centralise their imposition process.” Ultimate Impostrip® was designed with productivity in mind. As a market leader, it has been providing efficient and open solutions to digital print and hybrid print production facilities producing a wide range of applications including direct mail, photos and photobooks, general commercial work, transactional, book manufacturing, labels, and wide format. This new functionality strengthens the offering into large format, point of sale, folding carton and corrugated work. Ultimate Impostrip® is a powerful solution able to deal with shorter runs, faster turnaround times and an increase in jobs and SKUs, as well as to grow with your business.
