In this small film, you can see a couple of self-driving trolleys. After filming, I checked up a bit on these vehicles. The first you see is controlled by magnetic tape on the floor - as I also guessed. The second is an autonomous vehicle that is controlled by a tablet. The S-Cart is developed by Nidec-Shimpo Corporation.
At the Think Smart Factory, we saw three types of vehicles, the two in the video, but also a version that follows its "owner". We have already touched upon the Robot Arm from Universal Robots.
Robots are an essential part of Industry 4.0 promises. Another and yet as important part is the IoT (Internet of Things) - a subject that we hear more and more. We will dig into IoT at some other point - for now, enjoy the Robots - and I apologize for my bad English in advance. Wish I was native English from time to time - and this was one of the times!
