K-Print is Nordic Ecolabel certified

After a five-year long discussion of adding another environmental certificate besides FSC and PEFC, K-Print has now attained the Nordic Svan Ecolabel. The Tallinn based printing house exports more than 70% of it´s turnover to Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, the leading countries in building environmental awareness. Therefore it´s especially important to be able to show one´s commitment to environmental protection to all the business partners in the Nordic region.

Attaining the certificate is just a milestone for continuing to improve the processes and services in the printing house. As the biggest challenge for doing business abroad still remains to be building trust with the buyers, they believe the Nordic Ecolabel is just another way to help achieve that.

The printing industry is in the state of constant change and everybody is looking for ways to reduce the burden on the environment. Regardless of that, it can still be difficult to comprehend the environmental impact of a printed product coming from the papermill and landing on the customers desk. A simple way to help reduce the carbon footprint would be to shorten the supply chain and produce all of the printed material in the same place.

K-Print offers a wide range of inhouse services - everything from product development to digital and offset printing with a big variety of post press possibilities. Last summer the printing house added storing and distribution to the list of services provided and even this year there are many big surprises coming. Both to increase their business and to be more sustainable.
