Be smart and keep critical distance

Open letter to Morten B. Reitoft and to the smart global INKISH community

Dear Morten,

TX again for sharing your thoughts in your latest blog post. It's more important than ever to do so! #WONDERFULL

Don't stop to share your creative ideas, concerns, tasks. All of us as #PRINTLOVERS need a turnaround. Cool that you mentioned #Darwin and #Gutenberg. Both would be today accused by the same people blaming on us these days. Because they were disrupters.

One of my first teachers at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz (hometown of Gutenberg!), Dr. Helmut Presser, said to me: "The beauty of Gutenberg was beside the fact that he established printing on a mainstream level: he revolutionized with his invention of movable letters the way we as humans can deal with content". Isn't that smart?

And also Darwin was a smart thinker, scientist and #knowledge worker. Who disrupted the way we see us as human beings.

#SMART is for me the most important mindset for the #digitalage.

Smart means according to Oxford Dictionary: intelligent (able to learn and think quickly), rude, showing good judgement, clean & neat, fashionable, and "computer controlled to appear intelligent!" — Isn’t that great?

So we at #INKISH have to be smart people, smart communicators, smart knowledge workers. Even if people who are not smart enough think we are a pain in the ass. Give a shit on it in the age of the toilet paper crisis.

Keep moving, Morten. Smart people will love & support it. #IngloriousINKISHTeam

With warm regards,

PS: Because you like creative videos, pls. watch one of me: "ValueCheck! How smart communication should be .. (2006-2014)" on YouTube.

PPS: The photo on top shows me in front of an oil painting by a Chinese artist who was my guest in Mainz, Germany for a couple of years. She painted the public Gutenberg Monument by Bertel Thorvaldsen, which was created in the year 1837. For the carnival season it gets always disguised... — In my hand I keep a copy of a letterpress printed booklet with my 'fantasy' story about a conversation between Gutenberg and Senefelder (Gutenbergs Traum, published in 2002 thanks to Dr. Otto Martin in Der Druckladen, Mainz).
