FINISHING FIRST – PRODUCT LAUNCH.

Horizon presents new product line at the first virtual launch event.

At the end of September, print finishing specialist Horizon will be launching the first machines of the new iCE series and the cloud-based workflow software iCE LiNK. The latest smart factory solutions will be presented at the digital event "Finishing First - Product Launch" on September 29th and 30th, 2020.

Smart Factory Concept.

The “Internet of Things” (IoT) is spread throughout our lives with many things being networked together. The printing industry is no exception and the IoT is playing an important role in day-to-day business. The printing industry is looking for solutions that not only save labor through automation, but also connect individual systems to form networks – a fully automated, end-to-end integrated Smart Factory.

Product and process quality guaranteed.

The new iCE series – (i) Intelligence, Integration, Interaction, (C) Connection, (E) Efficiency – is therefore all about automation and integration. The cloud-based workflow software iCE LiNK enables production processes to be monitored, analysed and visualised in real time, making them even more efficient. It also ensures preventive maintenance intervals and remote maintenance. All Horizon machines can be connected to iCE LiNK.

Efficient Smart Factory solutions in live operation.

At the first virtual launch event, Horizon will present the latest Smart Factory Solutions for small and medium runs up to book of one production – connected with iCE LiNK.

Technical highlights:

  • - Concept presentation: a robot arm feeds book blocks coming from the HOF-400 high-speed feeder to the BQ-270V 1-clamp perfect binder.
  • - The fully automated 4-clamp perfect binder BQ-500 comes in a completely new design and guarantees efficient processing of variable book sizes thanks to consistent automation.

  • - The compact HT-300 three-side trimmer not only works extremely precisely – thanks to the new double cut function – but also enables versatile applications by processing 6- and 8-page flap covers.
