The Germany Bundeskartellamt has approved benpac's acquisition of Gallus and the Heidelberg Narrow-web division as of December 23rd.
All bodies have now approved the deal, and the only outstanding issue is the payment to Heidelberg - which, of course, couldn't be paid before the antitrust authorities' approved!
The deal, therefore, CAN be concluded before the end-of-the-year as announced.
It will be exciting to learn when Heidelberg will announce the deal's completion - and even more, from where the money comes.
