Gestern Abend kamen etwa 60 der rund 100 Gäste in Radebeul an. Die Produktion zu sehen, ist immer beeindruckend, aber dieses Mal wurde ein Teil davon in einen fantastischen Veranstaltungsort mit Essen, Getränken, Musik und natürlich Networking verwandelt.

Jetzt, am Donnerstagmorgen, haben sich etwa 100 Teilnehmer auf den Weg nach Radebeul gemacht, um die Rapida 76 zu sehen und mehr über sie zu erfahren. Oft konzentrieren sich die großen OEMs auf ihre größten und schnellsten Maschinen, aber diesmal zeigt Koenig & Bauer die Halbformat-B2-Maschine.

Die Rapida 76 ist eine schnelle B2-Druckmaschine mit hoher Flexibilität: 18.000 Bogen pro Stunde und mehreren Konfigurationen für den kommerziellen Druck sowie Etiketten- und Verpackungsproduktion. Für Verpackungen kann die Rapida 76 auf bis zu 1 mm dicken Karton drucken, ohne langsamer zu werden. Die heute vorgestellte Rapida 76 ist eine 7-Farben-Maschine mit einer Logistiklösung.

Wie immer sind die Demos messerscharf, gut geplant und demonstrieren natürlich verschiedene Anwendungen in einer kontrollierten Umgebung.

Am Dienstag, den 18. November, werden wir einen Film von Rutgers in den Niederlanden veröffentlichen, der die Rapida 76 verwendet. Da ich gestern die Gelegenheit hatte, mit ihm zu sprechen, bin ich immer noch sehr zufrieden mit der Investition.

After the presentations of the Rapida 76, three customers, Matthias Hermann from Schmidt & Buchta GmbH, Kurt Schergen from Druckhaus Wittich, and finally Oscar Pebermans from the Dutch packaging printer, Rutger. Very pleased customers, not only with the technology, but also with the service, and the collaboration in general. Thomas Göcke from Koenig & Bauer was an excellent moderator, and learning, check, loads of fun - check as well :-)

Besides the customers, Koenig & Bauer also invited a few speakers - on the photo above is Dr. Wolfgang Jeschke. He spoke about the three major pain points in the printing industry: revenue, gross margins, and costs. Interesting perspectives, but personally I didn't agree with him on most - but that's, of course, the reason for the book I am writing - but great to have different views.

Thomas Grübner from Elbe Leasing also gave a presentation. Though I didn't hear it, I would be surprised if it wasn't about financing and why Elbe Leasing is a serious finance partner in the German market.

The Rapida 76 event ended around 15.00, and the guests from Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, and many more returned to the printing companies across Europe. Based on the numerous conversations and many questions, maybe soon another Rapida 76 will find a new home. Thanks for a great day!
