Acutrack, a U.S.-based fulfillment company specializing in on-demand book printing, has turbocharged its productivity and resilience with the installation of an HP PageWide Advantage 2200 Web Press. The press, installed in July 2024 at its Livermore, California site, replaced legacy sheetfed equipment and has already delivered a 4x boost in productivity—up to 5,000 books per shift. The shift reflects a strategic move to bring printing in-house and closer to customers, reduce reliance on overseas suppliers, and meet the rapid-response needs of today’s creators on platforms like TikTok.
At the core of Acutrack’s transformation is HP's high-speed inkjet technology and PrintOS automation platform, which together enable high-volume, sustainable printing on a range of coated and uncoated stocks. “HP’s technology has helped us embed reliability into our production line,” said Raj Barman, CEO of Acutrack. “Installing this digital press has allowed us to bring even more print jobs in house, boosted efficiency, and lifted productivity across the board.” Looking ahead, Acutrack plans to expand to the East Coast and is evaluating hardware upgrades to further scale color output and reduce turnaround times.
