In a planned leadership transition, KURZ will see Dr. Christian Hub take the reins of its Plastic Decoration Business Area from Rainer Süßmann, who steps down after more than 38 years with the company. Süßmann, whose career began in 1987, rose through the ranks from engineering and sales to executive leadership, significantly shaping KURZ's international strategy and its Burg Design subsidiary. Dr. Hub, who has led Burg Design since 2023, is recognized for his ethical, strategic, and results-driven leadership, having restructured operations to ensure long-term stability. Mario Erlacher, previously head of sales, will assume local management of Burg Design. CEO Dr. Andreas Hirschfelder emphasized the continuity and future focus of the leadership team, stating, “With Dr. Christian Hub and Mario Erlacher, two leaders who stand for continuity, experience, and forward-looking management are taking over” — reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainable innovation in plastic finishing.
