Tecnau has announced the integration of its roll-fed cutting technology with Meccanotecnica’s Universe Web continuous feed book sewing system, creating a seamless solution for high-end digital book manufacturing. The collaboration ensures mechanical compatibility, stable web handling, and efficient transfer from roll to sewn book blocks, reducing manual intervention while increasing workflow stability. “By combining Tecnau’s roll fed cutting expertise with Meccanotecnica’s proven thread sewn binding technology, we are giving publishers and printers reliable, scalable finishing solutions,” said Stefano De Marco, CEO of Tecnau.
Two configurations are available: a medium-volume setup pairing Tecnau’s Cutter c7 with Universe Web, and a high-volume industrial solution combining Tecnau’s Revolution 50 with the Universe Web Full Cycle system. The integrated platform supports a wide range of substrates and formats, meeting the growing demands of educational, commercial, and general publishing markets.
