Antalis expanded its large format offering with the addition of Sun Strong, a premium GC2 (FBB) boxboard manufactured by Burgo. Designed for printers and converters producing high-end packaging, folding cartons, and graphical point-of-sale displays, Sun Strong enhances Antalis’ portfolio with a board engineered for both visual impact and efficient production.
Manufactured from three layers of bleached virgin fibres with a CTMP middle layer, Sun Strong delivers a balanced combination of stiffness and flexibility. The board features a smooth satin-finish surface with a double-coated top side and uncoated reverse, ensuring consistent results in offset and flexo printing. Its structure also supports folding, die-cutting, and finishing processes, as well as additional surface treatments required for premium packaging applications.
Available in sheets and reels at 275-325 gsm, Sun Strong offers flexibility across a wide range of applications while meeting sustainability requirements. The board is 100% recyclable, produced from ECF pulp, certified to FSC and PEFC standards, and achieves a four-star rating in Antalis’ Green Star System. According to Antalis, the addition gives customers access to a visually strong, reliable GC2 board supported by local availability and service.
