HP Indigo and Shutterfly Scale Personalized Print with 35-Press Deal Driving Industrial Digital Production

HP Indigo announced a major strategic agreement with Shutterfly that will significantly expand its footprint in the U.S. digital print market. The multi-year deal includes the deployment of 35 HP Indigo 120K digital presses, with installations beginning in 2026. The agreement builds on a 25-year relationship between the companies and reflects the evolution of digital printing from early adoption to highly automated, industrial-scale production.

Under the agreement, Shutterfly will upgrade its entire fleet of B2 digital presses to the HP Indigo 120K platform, designed for high-volume, nonstop production environments. The system incorporates advanced automation, predictive diagnostics, and intelligent quality management to maximize uptime and consistency. This enables Shutterfly to scale personalized production more efficiently while maintaining the high standards required during peak demand periods.

Beyond hardware, the partnership includes software, consumables, and services, integrating HP’s broader ecosystem, including PrintOS and data-driven workflow tools. The collaboration underscores a broader industry shift toward connected production environments where automation, data, and artificial intelligence drive performance. As personalization grows, this agreement positions both companies to lead the next phase of digital manufacturing, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and intelligent production systems.
