Cloudprinter.com CEO Martijn Eier delivered an engaging and emotional presentation at the NON-EVENT almost three years ago. The presentation discussed the Russian invasion and how it influenced Cloudprinter, a Ukraine-based company. It also discussed his staff, who suddenly became soldiers, and it was about hope. The year after, Martijn Eier again used the NON-EVENT to present his idea about creating a “physical” Cloudprinter where people not involved with the war could learn about print and binding. For people fleeing the war, these people would be assets in Europe and, when the war ends, even better ambassadors for the OEMs they have worked with in Europe and the Cloudprinter facility.
Now, the dream is a reality, and today, Martijn Eier presented Cloudprinter Labs - a facility that, besides educating staff, can also be used as a research lab for connecting products and equipment with Cloudprinter.com.
“Doing things differently! Who starts a print facility from scratch today? And who is starting a completely new company and location in Ukraine now? Believing in both, Cloudprinter.com Labs opened in Ukraine last week! A place to create samples for customers and print partners, review workflows, connect new applications to print engines, and much more! Local people have been hired and taught how to print and bind photo books, work with DTG, label printing, and more. A new facility has been constructed and equipped to European standards, creating a clean, efficient, modern print facility.”
