Xaar reported improved financial performance for the year ending December 31, 2025, as its strategy to expand beyond traditional print markets began to deliver measurable results. Revenue from continuing operations rose to £60.1 million, up 12% at constant currency, while printhead revenue increased to £43.0 million. Gross margin improved to 40%, adjusted EBITDA climbed to £3.5 million, and the company returned to an adjusted profit before tax of £0.8 million. While net cash declined to £4.9 million, Xaar said this reflected continued investment in manufacturing capacity, product development, and operational improvements.
The strongest progress came from new applications, particularly in industrial digital manufacturing. Xaar highlighted a commercial breakthrough in jewelry wax 3D printing and said it is making further progress in other markets where its ability to jet high-viscosity and highly pigmented fluids offers clear differentiation. The company also pointed to growth opportunities in automotive coating, EV battery coating, corrugated, textiles, labelling, and other sectors where digital manufacturing can reduce process waste and improve efficiency. Printhead revenue growth of 22% suggests these newer applications are beginning to offset weakness in legacy markets such as ceramics.
Operationally, Xaar focused on improving margins and building resilience in 2025. A key milestone was the opening of its Dongguan facility in China, which will manufacture ink delivery systems closer to Asian customers and improve supply chain efficiency. The company also continued to invest around 10% of revenue in R&D across Printhead and Megnajet, while maintaining a healthy order book heading into 2026. Chief Executive John Mills said early trading this year is in line with expectations and that the business is well-positioned for further progress in both the near and longer term.
