ACTEGA Unveils ACTDigi® LEP Primer for HP Indigo at Labelexpo Europe 2025

ACTEGA has taken the stage at Labelexpo Europe 2025 to launch its ACTDigi® LEP Primer, a water-based innovation designed to deliver optimum performance across coated, uncoated, synthetic, and metalized substrates. Developed specifically for HP Indigo 6K, 6K+, and 8K presses, the primer improves ink adhesion, ensuring outstanding print quality for both in-line and near-line applications. Early customer tests confirmed its ability to handle even the most demanding materials, including textured wine label papers and durable beer label stock.

The primer was developed through close collaboration between ACTEGA’s R&D teams and HP Indigo engineers, with a focus on both print quality and converter experience. The formulation extends the lifespan of critical press components, reduces common issues like foaming and yellowing, and minimizes ghosting, while remaining easy to handle and clean. Beyond performance, the ACTDigi® LEP Primer offers significant economic benefits through optimized consumption and regulatory compliance, including certification under the Swiss Ordinance, Nestlé standards, and Cradle-to-Cradle material health guidelines.

Customers, including NACARA, HF Labels, and Labelys Group, have validated the product in real production environments, praising its reliable adhesion and efficiency gains. “This launch marks a milestone in our long-standing partnership with HP,” said Dr. Thomas Sawitowski, Senior Vice President, Flexible Packaging at ACTEGA. HP Indigo’s Regina Guslitzer-Okner added, “This new primer delivers the flexibility and reliability converters need to stay ahead in today’s market.” Visitors to Labelexpo Europe can view samples and meet ACTEGA experts at booth 3D41, with global availability set for 2026.
