Barbieri Expands Color Measurement Capabilities with New Spectro Swing Solution

Barbieri electronics launched the Spectro Swing qb 6 mm, expanding its professional measurement portfolio to support a wider range of digital printing applications. Built on the established Spectro Swing qb platform, the new version is designed to deliver more stable and reliable color measurement on substrates with visible surface structure or high ink coverage.

The device supports automated reflection and transmission measurements and complies with ISO 13655 measurement conditions, including M0, M1, and M2. Featuring Ethernet and USB-C connectivity, the Spectro Swing qb 6 mm integrates easily into existing color management workflows and is powered by BARBIERI qb-Technology to deliver highly accurate data for press calibration and profiling.

The new 6 mm aperture is particularly suited to applications such as labels, flexible packaging, decorative papers, wallpaper samples, and textured commercial papers. While the existing 2 mm version remains ideal for smooth and uniform surfaces, the 6 mm variant provides improved measurement stability on more complex materials, helping print providers maintain consistent color and predictable results across a broader range of substrates.
