In a strategic move reinforcing its long-term commitment to the North American corrugated packaging market, BHS Corrugated North America—a division of Germany-based BHS Corrugated Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH—has established its new North American Experience Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The 25,000-square-foot facility, situated within Rushmore Five at Ballantyne, will serve as a customer engagement and innovation hub, allowing BHS to deepen its relationships with packaging converters, brands, and OEM partners throughout the region.
This move underscores BHS’s intent to expand market share and increase its influence in the North American corrugated and industrial packaging sector. “The BHS Experience Center is more than a showroom—it’s a working ecosystem for innovation in corrugated production,” noted Scott Purrington, President and CEO of BHS North and South America. “It’s where our customers can engage directly with emerging technologies, co-develop workflow solutions, and experience the full breadth of our service and automation capabilities in a hands-on environment.”
BHS’s investment in Charlotte is also a signal of the evolving expectations in corrugated packaging to demonstrate to converters real-world applications of high-speed corrugator systems, closed-loop control, predictive maintenance, and Industry 4.0 technologies. With an environment designed to support personalized demonstrations and collaborative solution development, BHS positions itself not only as a machinery manufacturer but as a strategic partner in packaging performance.
The Experience Center will support over 50 new jobs in the coming years across service, sales, training, IT, parts management, and corporate operations.
