BOBST is doubling down on its robotics strategy as it marks two years since acquiring Dücker Robotics, a leader in automation for the corrugated board sector. The move has helped position BOBST as a one-stop partner for end-to-end packaging production, aligning with its broader vision focused on automation, connectivity, digitalization, and sustainability. 

Since 2023, robotics has become a standard offering in BOBST’s corrugated equipment lineup. It now delivers a complete suite of robotic solutions for flatbed die-cutters, folder-gluers, and flexo folder-gluers—streamlining key stages like loading and palletizing, and eliminating manual touchpoints. “Our customers in the corrugated industry have appreciated being able to efficiently manage their entire production chain from start to finish with one unique partner,” said Pierre Binggeli, Head of Product Line Folder-gluers & Robotics at BOBST. “The robotics solutions were one of the final pieces of the puzzle.” 

Essential technologies include the BOBST ROBOLOADER, which automates the transfer of blank piles to match the top running speeds of converting lines, and the ROBOPALLETIZER, which builds customized pallet configurations without operator intervention. Additional modules like ROBOTOP, WRAPPER, and ROBOLABEL ensure secure handling, wrapping, and labeling of finished goods—optimizing downstream logistics. These automation solutions are designed for flexibility, with interchangeable grippers and modular deployment to fit customer-specific needs. The result is higher efficiency, reduced waste, and improved worker safety.
