Brother International Corp. (BIC-USA) announced the appointment of Kenji Kamei as president, effective April 1, 2026, marking a leadership transition aimed at supporting the company’s next phase of growth in the Americas. Kamei steps into the role after serving as vice president and officer of corporate planning, as well as a member of the BIC-USA Board of Directors. His appointment reflects a strategy of leveraging internal leadership with deep organizational knowledge to guide future expansion.
Kamei brings more than two decades of experience within the Brother Group, having joined the company in 2001 and held leadership roles across Brother Industries Ltd., BIC-USA, and Brother Brazil. His background includes serving as president of Brother Brazil, where he gained regional leadership experience, as well as strategic roles that provided insight into global operations and corporate planning. “Kenji is a proven leader with a deep understanding of our business, our customers and our culture,” said Kazufumi Ikeda, president of Brother Industries Ltd.
As president, Kamei will focus on driving growth, strengthening partnerships, and advancing key business priorities across the region. He succeeds Don Cummins, who will transition to chairman of the BIC-USA Board of Directors through March 2027 after leading the company since 2019. During his tenure, Cummins led sustained growth and expanded market presence, and he will continue to support the leadership team during the transition as Brother positions itself for continued development in the Americas.
