Caldera Releases PrimeCenter 4.4 with Enhanced Automation, Precision, and Flexibility

Caldera announced the release of PrimeCenter 4.4, the newest version of its prepress automation and workflow software, now available for download through CalderaDock. Designed to help print service providers streamline job preparation and production, the update delivers enhanced automation, improved precision, and expanded flexibility for complex workflows.

PrimeCenter is a trusted solution for print professionals looking to automate repetitive prepress tasks and optimize productivity. With version 4.4, Caldera has strengthened the software’s ability to manage advanced job types while minimizing manual intervention. Among the most notable upgrades is the newly optimized Double-Sided and Multi-Layer Tool, which simplifies the preparation of multi-layered and double-sided jobs for applications such as backlit displays, decals, and layered visuals. Seamless integration with CalderaRIP ensures accuracy, consistency, and efficiency from design to print.

PrimeCenter 4.4 also extends its cutting capabilities with support for the Summa GoSign driver, enabling faster, more reliable export of cut files in SGP format. Users can fully leverage Summa’s PostNet optical codes for precise cutting results, reinforcing PrimeCenter’s open, hardware-agnostic approach.

A new feature allows users to add or remove contours from their dictionary even during active production. Changes apply instantly for manual recipes or automatically once running recipes restart, eliminating downtime and enabling operators to adapt quickly to last-minute updates. This improvement enhances production continuity and ensures a smooth, error-free workflow.

As part of Caldera’s growing ecosystem of production tools, PrimeCenter 4.4 integrates seamlessly with CalderaRIP and a wide range of industry-leading hardware and software solutions. By combining automation, flexibility, and compatibility, the new version helps print service providers save time, reduce waste, and deliver consistent high-quality output from file preparation through to final production.
