Straßwalchen, Austria - Dunapack Packaging, in collaboration with Apex International, has successfully reduced CO2 emissions in corrugated post-printing through the use of Apex International’s GTT 2.0 anilox technology.
The project, conducted at Dunapack Packaging’s Straßwalchen facility in Austria, demonstrated up to an 18% reduction in ink usage, which significantly lowers the carbon footprint. By utilizing Apex International's innovative 'slalom' engraving design, Dunapack has been able to maintain high print quality while reducing ink consumption and CO2 emissions. This initiative supports Dunapack’s and its customers' sustainability goals, contributing to a more eco-friendly and efficient printing process.
Dunapack Packaging plans to expand this technology across all its plants in the future, potentially achieving CO2 reductions of 40-70 tonnes per plant annually.
