Konica Minolta announced the passing of Dr. Jörg Hartmann, who played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategy and growth during his tenure as President of Konica Minolta in Germany and Austria from November 2019 to May 2025. During this period, he led the company’s digital transformation, expanded its IT and managed services portfolio, and strengthened its positioning in the marketplace. From April 2021 to March 2024, he also served as Corporate Vice President and member of the global executive management team at Konica Minolta Inc. in Tokyo.
Following his departure from Konica Minolta in May 2025, Dr. Hartmann founded Hartmann Advisors GmbH, a consultancy dedicated to fostering international collaboration between Japan, Europe, and the United States. In June 2025, he also joined Evy Solutions GmbH in Cologne as a Senior Business Advisor. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at HP, Fujitsu Siemens, BlackBerry, and Fujitsu, where he ultimately served as Vice President with global responsibility.
In an obituary, Konica Minolta described him as a leader with visionary foresight, boundless energy, and human warmth, who not only drove the company forward but also personally inspired colleagues.
