Durst Unveils Kyveris AI Platform as It Celebrates 90 Years of Digital Printing Innovation

Durst Group marked its 90th anniversary with the launch of Kyveris, a new AI-driven production intelligence platform designed to transform how digital printing and additive manufacturing environments operate. Founded in 1936 in Brixen, South Tyrol, Durst has grown from a small photo workshop into a global supplier of industrial digital printing systems. The introduction of Kyveris signals a strategic evolution from precision hardware manufacturing toward intelligent production ecosystems powered by data and automation.

Kyveris integrates files, machines, software, and production data into a unified platform capable of learning from thousands of global installations. By analyzing operational data such as substrate interaction, ink behavior, and quality variations during production shifts, the system can predict potential issues and optimize workflows in real time. The goal is to move the industry closer to a “lights-out factory” model where production becomes more autonomous, transparent, and reproducible across multiple sites.

Christoph Gamper, CEO and co-owner of Durst Group, said the platform reflects the company’s long-term vision for digital manufacturing. “After 90 years of precision engineering, we are taking the next logical step: production intelligence for digital printing and additive manufacturing,” he said. Durst plans to present the first public demonstrations of Kyveris at FESPA 2026 and during its Durst Next Technology Festival, with further details on the system’s architecture and rollout expected in the coming months.
