At ISA Sign Expo, EFI is reinforcing its position in wide-format production with a portfolio built around versatility and throughput. The EFI VUTEk M3h hybrid printer is the headline system, offering both rigid and roll-fed production in a single 3.2-meter platform. With support for media up to two inches thick, multi-layer printing up to five layers, and optional clear ink, the press is aimed squarely at shops looking to expand into premium-margin applications such as dimensional signage, specialty displays, and high-impact retail graphics. Combined with the Fiery proServer Premium DFE, the system is positioned as a true production-level engine capable of speeds up to 77 boards per hour.
Alongside it, the EFI Pro 33r roll-to-roll printer adds another layer of capacity for demanding sign and display environments, emphasizing uptime, lower maintenance, and efficient multi-roll workflows. What stands out, however, is EFI’s broader application strategy, particularly around Transform-TF LED inks for thermoforming. This opens new revenue streams in 3D graphics, POP displays, and custom formed signage—areas where differentiation and value-added production matter most. As Todd Zimmerman notes, “print providers are looking for new ways to differentiate and grow.” EFI’s ISA presence is clearly built around that message: not just more speed, but more ways for PSPs to create profitable applications.
