EMT Launches Vira Shape System for High-Speed Die-Cut Postcards

EMT International has expanded its modular Vira platform with the Vira Shape Advanced Die-Cut Postcard Sheeting System, purpose-built for high-volume and short-run production of uniquely shaped postcards. Running at speeds up to 500 feet per minute, the system delivers flawless registration and precision die-cutting, supporting substrates up to 20pt (.020"). It enables a wide range of formats—loyalty cards, door hangers, table tents, tear-away designs—and eliminates white edges on full-bleed dark prints. According to Mike Herold, VP of Sales & Marketing, “This solution gives our customers the ability to stand out creatively without sacrificing speed, quality, or efficiency.”

Optimized for 24/7 production, the compact system features a short web path to reduce waste, flexible die plates for fast job changes, and shingle-stream delivery with stacking options for seamless downstream handling. It supports highly targeted micro-runs as well as millions of pieces per month, giving direct mailers and commercial printers new creative freedom at industrial scale. The Vira Shape system is available now and can be configured with additional Vira modules.
