Enfocus rolled out Switch 25.11, an update centered on strengthening the platform’s technical foundation rather than introducing new end-user features. The release, part of the broader 25.11 update cycle, includes significant upgrades to key components, including Node.js, Qt 6.3, and MongoDB 8.0. These changes support improved performance, modern compliance standards, and long-term maintainability across production workflows. Security and package updates accompany the infrastructure refresh, building on Enfocus’ focus on reliability for automated print environments.
One of the most consequential updates is the new hardware requirement introduced with MongoDB 8.0. Systems running Switch 25.11 on Windows or macOS x86 now require CPUs with AVX2 and FMA3 support, a shift that may prompt hardware evaluations for some users. The release continues Enfocus’ compatibility expansion, following earlier updates that added support for macOS 15 Sequoia and offline deployments via the Proxy Module for secure environments.
Switch 25.11 builds on a multi-year transformation of the platform. Previous updates have included the conversion of configurators into Appstore applications, the introduction of JSON support and Node.js scripting enhancements, Rush Jobs for queue prioritisation, and ongoing improvements to the Web Portal and UX. With each release, Enfocus has extended Switch’s role as a flexible automation hub aligned with modern API-driven production workflows.
The latest update reinforces that direction, offering a stability-focused foundation for users adopting the newer PitStop 25.11 and Griffin/Phoenix 25.11 feature sets, while continuing to support scalable automation across hybrid print operations.
