ePS, Esko, and CarbonQuota Unite ERP, Workflow, and Carbon Intelligence in New Packaging Solution

eProductivity Software, Esko, and CarbonQuota are partnering to deliver a new integrated solution that embeds workflow automation, ERP, and carbon intelligence into a single, seamless packaging job record. The joint offering will be formally unveiled at Packaging Innovations Birmingham, with a presentation scheduled in the Discovery Theatre on February 12 at 1:00 PM.

The collaboration responds to increasing regulatory pressure and customer scrutiny around sustainability, traceability, and speed-to-market. By connecting Esko’s Automation Engine and S2 platform with ePS’ ERP and CarbonQuota’s science-based carbon calculation engine, the solution creates a unified source of accurate, decision-ready data across the entire packaging lifecycle. From design and prepress through production and delivery, information is captured once and reused consistently, reducing errors and administrative overhead.

One of the core benefits is faster speed-to-market. Automating the link between ERP and prepress eliminates manual handoffs and data re-keying, reducing turnaround times and lowering the risk of costly production errors. For converters operating in shorter-run, tighter-schedule environments, the companies say this level of connectivity directly supports operational profitability.

Sustainability reporting is another central pillar of the solution. CarbonQuota’s validated carbon measurement technology is embedded directly into the workflow, allowing companies to generate certified, auditable CO₂e data at the job level without switching tools. This enables packaging converters and brand owners to move from estimates to verified actuals, supporting ESG reporting, customer disclosures, and compliance with evolving sustainability regulations while reducing the risk of greenwashing.

“With this integration, jobs that once required multiple manual steps can now be produced through a single, fully automated workflow,” said Geert De Proost, Director of Product Offering at Esko. “A single unified source of truth also empowers brand owners to calculate the carbon emissions of their packaging with confidence.”

Craig Tait, Chief Product Officer at eProductivity Software, said the collaboration is focused on practical deployment and process efficiency. He noted that the bundled solution can be implemented in days rather than months, delivering consistent and defensible carbon metrics alongside production data to support both internal targets and external reporting requirements.

Dominic Harris, Co-Founder of CarbonQuota, highlighted the importance of real-time, product-level insight. He said that integrating carbon intelligence directly into existing workflows eliminates manual calculations and reduces the risk of data inaccuracies, creating a more reliable foundation for sustainability decision-making.

Together, the three companies describe the offering as a “Packaging Connected” solution that brings automation, accuracy, and sustainability into a single operational framework. By uniting ERP, prepress, and carbon data, the partnership aims to help packaging businesses future-proof their operations and remain competitive in an increasingly complex, regulated, and transparency-driven market.
