Esko unwrapped the XPS Spark 4835 at Labelexpo Europe 2025, the newest addition to its flexo ecosystem. The plate exposure unit combines single-side UV LED exposure with an optional integrated UVA and UVC finishing module, providing converters and tradeshops with a streamlined, compact solution for high-quality flexo plate production. With sustainability and cost efficiency at the core of its design, the XPS Spark delivers consistent exposure quality while lowering energy consumption and eliminating waste from traditional bank exposure tubes.
Eddy Fadel, General Manager Flexo at Esko, emphasized that the development reflects both Esko’s and parent company Veralto’s commitment to sustainability. “The XPS Spark meets a clear need in the market for an all-in-one LED plate exposure system that is innovative, reliable, and competitively priced,” he said. The system features patented kaleidoscopic optics for uniform exposure, air-cooled operation to simplify installation, and an open parameter setup that supports plates from all vendors. Flexible exposure control enables both Round Top and Flat Top dot profiles, depending on the plate type.
Pascal Thomas, Director of Flexo Product Management at Esko, highlighted its accessibility for businesses operating in space-constrained environments. “With its compact footprint, intuitive operation, and unmatched performance, the XPS Spark ensures users no longer need to compromise on quality due to space or cost limitations,” he explained. Available in the second half of 2026, the XPS Spark 4835 is on display at Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona at booths 5D31 and 5E31, where attendees can explore its performance within the broader Esko flexo ecosystem.
