General Formulations Expands Canadian Sales Leadership with Appointment of Mike Miserany

General Formulations (GF), a global manufacturer of pressure-sensitive media, films, and laminates, expanded its Canadian leadership team with the appointment of Mike Miserany as Canada Sales Manager. Miserany will oversee sales operations across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, and Quebec—an important region for GF’s continued growth.

Miserany began his career in 1997 with Moore Business Forms before moving to Appleton Papers, where he spent more than 20 years selling specialty papers including carbonless rolls, direct thermal grades, security papers, and coloured bonds. He later joined Nekoosa, focusing on wide-format media, synthetic substrates, application tapes, and carbonless materials. A graduate of Marie-Victorin College with additional business management training from the University of Montreal, he brings a strong combination of technical knowledge and commercial experience to his new role.

Beyond his extensive industry background, Miserany is an active advocate for the print community in Canada. He serves on the organizing committee of the Gutenberg Awards, celebrating excellence in Quebec’s printing sector, and supports the Canadian Print Scholarship Program, helping nurture the next generation of printing professionals.

“Expanding our Canadian leadership with someone of Mike’s caliber reinforces GF’s long-term commitment to the region,” said Tim Leavenworth, Vice President of Business Development at General Formulations. “He not only understands the dynamics of the market but also shares our passion for innovation and partnership. We’re excited to see the new opportunities his leadership will create for our customers and distributors across Canada.”

Miserany expressed enthusiasm about joining the company. “I’m really excited to be part of the team and look forward to generating new opportunities, supporting our partners, and helping GF continue to grow across Canada.” The appointment strengthens GF’s position in a diverse and expanding market, ensuring greater support for distributors, print service providers, and graphics professionals across the country.
