Hybrid Software Releases PACKZ 11.5 with Major User-Requested Enhancements

Hybrid Software has released version 11.5 of its PACKZ PDF editor, bringing significant upgrades driven by its user community’s input. The update introduces a Halftone Detection Tool with integrated Harlequin RIP technology, enabling precision analysis of screen frequency, dot gain, and linearization directly within PACKZ Max and from 1-bit TIFFs.

Another standout feature is the Extended CF2 format with 3D variants, developed in collaboration with Arden Software, Engview, and TreeDiM, allowing various folding configurations to be embedded in one file and rendered instantly in iC3D. Spot color rendering has also been dramatically improved using ColorLogic technology, enabling accurate on-screen simulation of spot tints and blends, even with spectral (CxF/X-4) data.

For digital label production, the Laneplanner tool in Packzimizer now respects press limitations and customer order quantities, helping prevent overproduction and optimize material use. PACKZ 11.5 is now available worldwide, continuing Hybrid Software’s commitment to customer-led innovation in packaging prepress workflows.
