Quebec-based Imprimerie Multiplus recently expanded its digital capabilities by installing three HEIDELBERG Versafire presses—models LP, LV, and LM—marking a significant milestone in its shift toward integrated hybrid production. The new digital presses are fully driven by the Prinect Digital Frontend (DFE), allowing seamless alignment with the company's existing Prinect-managed workflow and three HEIDELBERG offset presses.
“Since our offset department is already very familiar with Prinect, it only made sense to standardize offset and digital prepress within the same system,” said owner Pascal Lavigne. This strategic upgrade enables consistent color reproduction and rapid job switching across technologies, delivering increased efficiency and responsiveness to customer needs. Multiplus can now handle a broad array of substrates and run lengths without compromising quality, leveraging both digital and offset platforms for optimal results.
The installation builds on a longstanding relationship with HEIDELBERG, which also supplies the company’s Suprasetter CtP, Stahlfolder, and POLAR cutters. “Looking ahead, we see our growth closely aligned with theirs, especially in digital solutions that help us meet our customers’ expectations for quality and speed,” Lavigne added.
