Katie Pyzyk reports in PackagingDive that International Paper is permanently closing their facilities in Campti, Louisiana, Hazelton, Pennsylvania, St. Louis, Missouri, and Phoenix, Arizona. The closures are expected by the end of April. She notes that the company anticipates that the closure of the Red River containerboard mill in Louisiana will reduce IP’s network-wide containerboard capacity by approximately 800,000 tons annually.
