Kanematsu GmbH announced the launch of the Canon CX-G6400 large-format card printer across the EMEA region, where it will act as lead distributor. The move brings a new option to the market for high-quality, on-demand event badge and card production, targeting conferences, exhibitions, and corporate events.

The CX-G6400 combines Canon’s proprietary water-based inkjet technology with Kanematsu’s established expertise in event card printing developed through its Swiftcolor brand. Kanematsu said the collaboration delivers a system designed for consistent image quality, operational efficiency, and reduced environmental impact. The printer supports a wide range of card formats, enabling organizers to produce badges and credentials tailored to different event requirements.

Sustainability is a core focus of the CX-G6400. The system uses Canon’s water-based inks, developed to meet stringent environmental guidelines, and is designed to support fast, on-demand production. This approach helps event organizers reduce overproduction and waste while maintaining the flexibility to print credentials as needed.

The launch aligns with the broader strategy of the Kanematsu Group to invest in business areas that promote environmental, social, and safety values in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through its partnership with Canon, Kanematsu aims to support the adoption of more sustainable printing technologies and encourage event practices with a lower environmental footprint.

Kanematsu said the CX-G6400 will be available throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa via its Swiftcolor distribution network, providing event organizers and service providers with a new tool for efficient, high-quality, and more sustainable badge printing.
