Koenig & Bauer has strengthened its position in sheetfed offset by bringing Instrument Flight® fully in-house following the acquisition of System Brunner’s measurement and control activities in late 2025. What was previously offered as an OEM solution is now fully owned, supported, and developed by Koenig & Bauer, creating a clear differentiator in the market. Unlike conventional systems that focus mainly on density values, Instrument Flight goes further by controlling grey balance, overprint behavior, and overall visual perception—bringing print closer to what customers actually see and approve.
For printers, the operational benefits are immediate: shorter color matching times, reduced waste, longer stable production runs, and improved compliance with standards such as PSO, FOGRA, and G7.
