Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems has introduced the Smart Material Handler (SMH), a modular add-on designed to streamline digital cutting workflows for signage, display, folding carton, and corrugated applications. The SMH enables simultaneous sheet loading and processing, reducing operator dependency by 50% and increasing overall throughput.
Equipped with an optional underside camera for automatic registration detection and adaptable to both rigid and roll materials, the SMH supports portrait and landscape operation modes. “By expanding our automation portfolio with the Smart Material Handler, we are reducing the operator need by 50% whilst also enabling our customers to enhance productivity,” said Stuart Fox, President & CEO of Kongsberg PCS.
