GPO Appoints Ravinder Birdi to Lead Government Print Modernization Efforts

The U.S. Government Publishing Office appointed Ravinder Birdi as Managing Director of Government Integrated Print Services, placing him in charge of overseeing the production and publication of essential federal documents. In this role, Birdi will lead operations responsible for producing outputs such as the Congressional Record, the Federal Register, the Code of Federal Regulations, and other critical legislative materials.

Birdi brings more than 15 years of experience in large-scale print and production environments, along with a strong track record in operational improvement. Since joining GPO in 2019, he has implemented LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies across press and bindery operations, introduced data-driven performance systems, and guided investments in digital book production technologies. His work has contributed to improved efficiency and modernization within the agency’s print infrastructure.

The appointment reflects GPO’s continued focus on evolving its production capabilities to meet the demands of modern government publishing. By combining print expertise with digital initiatives, the agency delivers critical information reliably and efficiently while adapting to changing technology and workflow needs.
