Mimaki to Showcase Water-Saving TRAPIS Textile Printing System at Heimtextil 2026

At Heimtextil 2026 in Frankfurt, Mimaki Europe will unveil TRAPIS, a groundbreaking pigment transfer printing system that allows manufacturers to print on a wide array of fabrics—from cotton and viscose to polyester and blends—using a single ink set. TRAPIS significantly streamlines the textile production process, eliminating the need for pre-treatment, washing, or complex infrastructure, making it accessible to companies of all sizes. The compact solution is built around Mimaki’s TS330-1600 printer, TP410 inks, and a high-pressure calender, enabling short-run, customized, and on-demand textile printing for a wide range of applications.

TRAPIS also brings a strong environmental advantage, reducing water consumption by up to 90% compared to conventional methods—saving approximately 14.5 liters of water per square meter. Its pigment inks are ZDHC MRSL Level 3 compliant and bluesign® APPROVED, supporting both sustainability and user safety. Designed for simplicity and versatility, TRAPIS empowers users to produce high-quality textiles locally, efficiently, and responsibly. Mimaki will demonstrate the technology live at their Heimtextil 2026 booth (Hall 3.0 Stand A97).
