Mondi has partnered with KOMSA, a leading ICT distributor and service provider, to streamline its logistics operations using Mondi’s customised digital printing solutions. By adopting Mondi’s digital printing directly onto corrugated packaging, KOMSA has significantly improved both warehouse efficiency and delivery processes. The collaboration has reduced the need for external labels, simplified stock handling, and accelerated outbound logistics while maintaining sustainability through fully recyclable packaging.
At the heart of the project is Mondi’s digital pre-print technology applied to corrugated board, allowing KOMSA to customise each box with pre-printed product codes and handling instructions. This reduces both human error and production waste, aligning with KOMSA’s drive for smarter, more efficient operations. “By printing directly onto the box, we’ve eliminated the need for additional stickers or labels, which has cut down our processing time and material usage,” said Steffen Kleinert, KOMSA’s Head of Logistics.
The partnership demonstrates how tailored digital printing solutions can directly impact operational performance beyond branding or design. With a focus on flexibility, speed, and reduced complexity, Mondi and KOMSA have set a strong example of how print technology can be leveraged for real-world supply chain benefits.
