San Diego-based Neyenesch Printers is one of the first commercial printers in the U.S. to invest in Konica Minolta’s new AccurioJet 30000 HS-UV Inkjet B2+ press, as part of a strategic move to enhance production efficiency and expand its service offerings. The 125-year-old family-owned company also acquired the AccurioShine 3600 digital embellishment press, enabling it to bring spot UV and special effects work in-house. The combined investment marks Neyenesch's transition from toner to high-speed inkjet and is expected to position the company for faster turnarounds and greater value-added capabilities.
With a diverse client base spanning hospitality, education, non-profits, and pharmaceutical markets, Neyenesch required a robust platform capable of handling larger sheet sizes, lightweight stocks, and perfecting functionality. After evaluating multiple technology providers, the company selected Konica Minolta’s solution for its combination of quality, automation, and scalability. “With the AccurioJet 30000, the very first sheet is sellable,” said Natalie Neyenesch, Vice President of Operations. “It dramatically reduces make-ready time and waste, and helps us deliver high-quality work more efficiently.”
By integrating UV inkjet and digital embellishment technologies, Neyenesch Printers aims to differentiate itself through creative print applications and speed-to-market capabilities. While spot UV was previously outsourced, the new setup brings that capability in-house, empowering the sales team to showcase embellishment effects directly to clients. “With these upgrades, we’re now positioned to take on fast-turnaround projects and be even more competitive in today’s demanding print landscape,” Neyenesch added.
Konica Minolta, celebrating 20 years in production print, sees the installation as a validation of its commitment to helping print providers evolve with next-generation technology. “Neyenesch is an excellent example of a legacy brand embracing digital transformation to drive growth,” said Frank Mallozzi, President of IPP at Konica Minolta. The AccurioJet 30000, a successor to the successful KM-1e platform with over 350 installs worldwide, brings enhanced automation, image quality, and productivity—offering commercial printers a smart path forward in a rapidly shifting market.
