Packaging Specialties to Invest $24 Million in Fayetteville Facility and Adds Jobs

Packaging Specialties announced plans to invest more than $24 million in its Fayetteville, Arkansas, manufacturing plant, adding 101 new jobs over the next five years. CEO Nick Guglielmi said the expansion will boost the company’s flexographic printing capacity and support continued demand for its printed film products. The investment centers on new equipment for the company’s Armstrong Avenue site, which also serves as its corporate headquarters.

Guglielmi noted that the company’s decision reflects its deep roots in the region, dating back to its founding in Fayetteville in 1974. The company currently employs 254 people at the facility and 473 across its operations, providing printed packaging films, printed lamination films, slitting, C-folding, and INNO-LOK packaging. Local and state leaders welcomed the announcement, with Arkansas Economic Development Commission Executive Director Clint O’Neal calling the investment a significant milestone for the region.

Community impact also factored into the company’s decision, as leadership confirmed that Fayetteville was chosen over other potential expansion sites in Georgia or Idaho. Fayetteville Mayor Molly Rawn highlighted the company’s longstanding contributions to the city’s economic strength, while Chamber Fayetteville President and CEO Jennifer Irwin described Packaging Specialties as one of the area’s most influential employers. Officials stated that the expansion underscores the value of long-term partnerships between local employers and state and city leaders.
