UK's Page Bros Power Three-Year Growth Plan with HEIDELBERG Speedmaster XL 106 Investment

The Page Bros Group in Norwich has taken a major step in its three-year, £7 million modernization plan with the installation of a Speedmaster XL 106-5+L from HEIDELBERG, replacing an older Speedmaster CX 102. Serving publishing and commercial clients across the UK and internationally, Page Bros offers premedia, printing, direct mail, security printing, and fulfillment services. The new press, integrated with Prinect workflow systems and supported by a Stahlfolder TH 82-P, enhances automation across print and postpress operations.

The Peak Performance Generation Speedmaster XL 106 reduces makeready times by up to 40%, minimizes startup waste through inline control systems, and delivers consistent color management for repeat and long-run work. According to CEO Alex Tuya, the press delivers maximum speed, flexibility, and quality, enabling the company to take on larger, more complex projects while improving sustainability performance through lower energy use and reduced waste.

HEIDELBERG’s system integration approach aligns with Page Bros’ strategy to automate production and future-proof its operations. With enhanced efficiency, higher output per shift, and improved delivery reliability, the investment strengthens the company’s ability to compete in a dynamic market while supporting long-term growth and profitability.
