PDF Days Europe 2025!

The PDF Association announces its keynote speaker on September 11 at PDF Days Europe 2025 will be Professor Dr. Philipp Hacker, Chair for Law and Ethics of the Digital Society at the European New School of Digital Studies (ENS) at European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). He will discuss the interface (and collision?) of law and policy with digital document technology and AI.

An all-new Technical Poster session allows PDF Association members to showcase their ideas while networking with other attendees. An informal venue for displaying and discussing research, work-in-progress, or just ideas, posters generate discussion and feedback.

Members accepted for the Technical Posters session must station a representative at the poster during the session to answer questions. The presentation tracks do not operate during Poster sessions.

There is limited space, so the Technical Poster session is competitive. Learn more (requires member login to pdfa.org), and submit your idea today!

On September 11 and 12, 2025, PDF Association CTO and ISO 32000 Project Leader Peter Wyatt will offer a two-day workshop focusing on validity and correctness in PDF files. After decades of experience leading PDF-related software development at Canon, Peter created the Arlington PDF Model, funded by DARPA’s SafeDocs program, now leveraged by veraPDF and many other applications. As such, Peter is uniquely qualified to lead a workshop that’s all about the finer points of getting PDF right.

Whether representing PDF consuming software, PDF creation software, interactive applications, server-side technologies, embedded platform developers, forensic document analysts, or any other technical PDF stakeholder, this workshop will enhance knowledge and understanding of PDF.
