At PDF Days Europe 2025, the PDF Association launched a new concept inspired by academic conferences: the poster session. This session allowed members to showcase technical and solution-focused projects in an informal setting while engaging directly with other attendees. The event created opportunities for in-depth discussion, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among PDF professionals.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Participants appreciated the range of topics, from accessibility and automation to security and validation, and the opportunity to interact directly with the authors. Attendees voted for the best technical poster, which was awarded to callas software GmbH for “Shared requirements in PDF Subset standards.” Other notable entries covered subjects such as PDF tagging automation, AI-human collaboration for accessibility, and secure document workflows.

The second day featured the Solution Poster Session, where members presented practical applications and innovations in PDF technology. Posters from Adobe, Foxit, PDFix, axaio software, callas software, and others highlighted new tools and approaches for accessibility, digital preservation, redaction, and enterprise PDF management.
