Plockmatic ColorCut SC7800 Pro-RS XL Automates B2 Digital Die-Cutting and Creasing

Plockmatic expanded its Intec ColorCut finishing portfolio with the launch of the ColorCut SC7800 Pro-RS XL, a new B2 digital die-cutting and creasing system designed for automated finishing of digitally printed packaging, point-of-sale materials, and specialty print applications. The machine integrates sheet-fed cutting, tangential creasing, and contour cutting technologies in a compact production unit that can operate unattended for high-mix digital jobs.

At the core of the system is a triple-tool head that combines a drag-cut tool with two opposing tangential creasing wheels, delivering a traditional male-female crease for heavier media up to 450 microns. A ninth-generation Vision3 CCD camera reads QR codes printed on each sheet to instantly retrieve the correct cutting file from the job library, enabling mixed stacks of jobs to be processed automatically without manual intervention. The machine can process up to 1,000 sheets per batch with speeds reaching 1060 mm per second.

The SC7800 Pro-RS XL also introduces standalone “Held Mode” operation, allowing jobs to be loaded directly from a USB device and processed without a connected computer. Combined with an automated feeder that holds up to 900 sheets and advanced air-blade separation technology, the system is designed to reduce operator intervention while maintaining precise registration and reliable feeding across a wide range of substrates including paperboard, synthetic stocks, and laminated media.
