Printer Trento S.p.A., a leading European book manufacturer based in Trento, Italy, has strengthened its production infrastructure by adding a KODAK MAGNUS Q800 Platesetter with T speed Plus and a Single Pallet Loader to its platemaking lineup. This upgrade is part of the company’s strategy to support its new 10-color perfecting B1 sheetfed offset press, ensuring faster plate imaging at speeds up to 84 plates per hour. Already utilizing two KODAK MAGNUS VLF Platesetters and SONORA Process Free Plates across all its presses, the new 8-up device will help manage growing demand while maintaining exceptional imaging quality thanks to KODAK’s advanced SQUARESPOT Technology.
The investment also builds on Printer Trento’s long-standing integration of Kodak’s end-to-end prepress solutions, including the PRINERGY Workflow and INSITE Prepress Portal, which streamline file uploads, proofing, and approvals for its publishing clients. Managing Director Massimo Martinelli emphasized Kodak’s pivotal role in the company’s decades of success, citing the technology’s reliability, performance, and automation enhancements.
