PRINTING United is one of the most important trade shows in the printing industry, and since 2019, when it opened its doors under the "under one roof" concept, the exhibition has, despite Covid, grown into a must-attend show. The 'under one roof' concept, or convergence, builds upon the idea that more and more printers produce a diverse range of products - sometimes commercial print, sometimes labels and packaging, and often a combination of both. At PRINTING United, you'll also find pretty much everything, and we are excited to be a media partner again this year - and this time with even more viewers, channels, and partners. We are excited.
This page will expand over the next few weeks, with the newest content always at the top of the article. Please check in daily to stay updated.
We'll see each other in Orlando soon.

One of the highlights you can definitely look forward to at PRINTING United is the 17th application. With one machine, you can create up to 17 different types of analog embellishments, and that is just one thing to anticipate. Another thing is, of course, how digital embellishment makes more and more sense in both digital and analog print production. During the show, there will be testimonials, and INKISH will interview the presenters, so you can also learn from them!

Graphco is a successful distributor of Foldstream, RMGT, Foliant, and SD-Italy equipment, promoting itself and its representations as “unfair advantage” technologies. Chris Manley and his team have been highly successful in recent years, and as they celebrate their 50th anniversary, there's a good chance to see them at future shows as well. Keep an eye on the Airstream and you know you are in the right spot :-)

Four Pees is an integrator and a software developer. With its vast investment in Atomyx, we will learn from Tom Peire whether this is right, but Four Pees is a company that helps printing companies with the setup of software from web-to-print to complex workflow solutions. Then, a couple of years ago, the company introduced its Atomyx Platform, which enables users to integrate cloud services from different suppliers seamlessly. We are excited to get an update at PRINTING United.

Bonjour and Buenos Días mean good morning, and our morning format at PRINTING United is a format where we invite the event organizer, exhibitors, and, of course, we talk technology, but the format is more about the people perspective, how it is to meet the industry, and more loose and fun. For the first time, we also have a Spanish edition hosted by Nayelli González Menendéz from Revista el Impresor. Below you can see the Bonjours we did at PRINTING United 2024 :-)

The very first exhibitor we will be visiting at PRINTING United is HP, and we will start with a booth tour. HP focuses on Large Format printing at this year’s PRINTING United, and you will be able to experience a broad portfolio of Latex printers from HP. After the tour, we will talk to Senior Vice President Daniel Martinez, from HP’s Barcelona-based entity.
We look forward to both, and what a great start to a show.

eProductivity Software, or EPS, is the software division spinoff from EFI and is today an independent entity, focusing entirely on software. ePS is one of the most prominent software companies in the industry, with an annual revenue of $ 160 million. The brands you know from ePS are Avanti, EPMS, Monarch, Nubium, Pace, PrintSmith, Technique, and Tharstern, covering all your needs from MIS to web storefronts, workflow automation, and more. At PRINTING United, we expect to talk to several people, but of course, VP Nick Benkovich.

Ultimate Tech is one of the software companies that you are almost guaranteed to meet at almost all exhibitions, and for good reasons. Ultimate Tech, which was recently renamed from Ultimate Technology, is best known for its number one product, Impostrip. Ultimate works with large format, labels, commercial print, and more, aiming to become the one-stop software for many printers. Ultimate support for Windows, Mac, Linux, and are also cloud-enabled. One of the things we find interesting is the dynamic scale, which allows you to have a smaller version of Impostrip or Bindery and then scale it up for peak periods dynamically - a feature that's been appreciated by several customers. At PRINTING United, we will learn more about the software, and we look forward to sharing it with you.

It takes time to plan an event like PRINTING United, and it takes even more time when the organizer continues to develop the show. This time, PRINTING United takes place in Orlando from October 22-24, and INKISH, Revista El Impresor, and Printing-Connect.online are busy covering the show. Here, we talk to Chris Curran and Mark Subers about the show - it's good to learn from them!

Rollem is a British-based manufacturer of post-press/finishing equipment, impressing with a broad range of machines that include rotary-die cutters, laminators, folding, and creasing tools. This is certainly one of the companies to look out for, especially if you are considering increasing your productivity in your digital department. At PRINTING United, we will give you more insight into what Rollem delivers.

At Standard Finishing’s booth, you can find almost the entire range of Horizon equipment. The Japanese OEM, Horizon, has for years been extremely good at listening to the market and delivering almost everything you need in your bindery. At an Open House event in Germany, they even announcer that they will offer automated solutions in 40”/B1, and as much as it’s a hint of what’s on Print OEM radar, it’s also because they want to deliver finishing solutions to the large offset market. Find cutters, folders, glue solutions, and much more.
We look forward to seeing our friends from Standard Finishing and Horizon.

Back in 2016 one of the last GraphExpo/Print shows took place in Orlando, and we took the opportunity to visit Lawton Connect while being in Orlando anyway. Kimberly and Ty Koon at that time had a fantastic printing company, and I am sure that it has developed over the 9 years that has passed by. We will see if we can get an interview as a follow up, couldn't that be interesting?
Müller Martini acquired Hunkeler just before PRINTING United last year, and, as we discussed with both Volker Leonhardt and Andrew Fetherman, the transition takes time. However, January 2026 marks the point at which Müller Martini takes over the full distribution of Hunkeler in the US from Standard Finishing. At PRINTING United, Müller Martini will be displayed at booth 3234, and Hunkeler will be featured at both Müller Martini booths, as well as on the nearby Standard Finishing booth 3930. On Müller Martinis' booth, you will be able to see Hunkelers GEN8 EVO solution. At Standard Finishings' booth, you can see Hunkelers UW8 (Unwinder) and CS8 (Cutter) feeding a Horizon Mark V Stitchliner.
We look forward to talking to Volker Leonhardt and Andrew Fetherman again.

Printess continues to impress with an online editor capable of managing all types of design, from textiles to shaped products like mugs, and even to multi-page products. If you take a look at the text and the heart above, you will soon realize that floating text between pages and smoothly around objects isn’t what you are used to. This is like having your own Canva or a solution that provides hundreds of opportunities to create custom applications using Printess’ APIs. We have been following Printess since the name was first featured on INKISH during the COVID-19 times. At PRINTING United, you'll see what Printess is all about, and we look forward to showcasing this unique piece of software!

Hoenle, despite its new branding and unified naming, remains a well-established company in the printing industry. Formerly sold under the name Eltosch. High-quality curing solutions that can be acquired both as part of your printing press or as retrofit kits. UV is not just UV, and at PRINTING United, we will discuss it in depth and see if we can gain a better understanding of what to look for.

MCS was founded in 1989 and has delivered Inkjet solutions to the direct mail industry since 1994, in particular. We met with Kevin Loos a few years back and learned about a company that many in the mailing segment obviously know, but we didn’t. That has led to several interviews, visits to customers, and everywhere the story is the same. High-quality, reliable solutions that deliver inkjet print bars in monochrome and color, which were previously used with toner, are now transitioning to inkjet-only. The print bars can be added to packaging lines or sold as stand-alone solutions. Additionally, MCS sells its Merlin-series printers, which are based on rock-solid Kyocera technology. At PRINTING United, we look forward to talking to Kevin Loos and seeing what they have been up to since the last time we met.

Fujifilm is one of the large exhibitors at PRINTING United, and of course. They have a wealth of products to showcase, ranging from large format to inkjet to their Revoria line of printers. Fujifilm has, since its breakup with Xerox, evolved from being a small niche manufacturer, with all due respect, to one of the fastest-growing and most innovative suppliers in the industry. We have been part of the journey, as we have almost every tradeshow, talked to Andrew Gunn, who with a very outspoken view, explains how Fujifilm positions itself and differs from the competition. Fujifilm has released a teaser for PRINTING United, and we can expect to see a wide range of equipment on display at their booth, presenting a truly fantastic opportunity for you to explore what they offer.

Graphic Whizard is something much better, at least if you are from the printing industry and at PRINTING United. The Canadian manufacturer and distributor has long become a very good supplier of finishing equipment (in particular), and it’s for all sizes of companies. Last year at PRINTING United, VP of Sales Chris Harrington shared with us a large, undisclosed order that resonated and further bolstered our confidence in the market for the products Graphic Whizard carries. We have a couple of interviews and will likely explore technology at this year’s show. As always, we look forward to sharing this with you.

EMT exhibits as usual at PRINTING United, and if you are looking for sturdy American-made paper processing/finishing equipment, this is a good starting point. As with EMT's competitors, EMT has a strong background in transactional print, but today delivers solutions for saddle-stitched productions, books, labels, and, of course, a range of roll-based solutions like Roll to Stack, Roll to Roll, and Roll to Fold. At PRINTING United, we will talk to Mike Herold, who joined EMT in 2023 after a long career as Marketing Director for Ricoh. In the previous interviews we have done, we met a dedicated global supplier.

EFI started as a software company but has, over the past few years, spun its business into three strong, separate entities. Fiery for RIPs, ePS for software, and EFI for large format printers, both for rigid and soft material, and they have positioned themselves as one of the absolute leading firms in this segment. At PRINTING United, we will take a closer look at what’s new, but also talk to industry specialists about trends, competition, and all the things you like to hear :-)

AGFA presents their new Onset Panthera, a ‘beast’ able to produce more than 1,500 m2 /16,000 ft2 an hour in high-quality UV. We will meet with Dan Deveau from Toronto-based Camad to hear more about the machine and how it fits into his business. Camad is the first in North America to acquire the Onset Panthera. Camad is a fantastic printing company offering a wide range of great products, with a history in conventional screen printing and now a digital powerhouse. We visited Camad a few years ago, you should see the film - listen and learn :-)

DURST is an exceptional company that has become a market leader in tiles, large-format printing, labels, and numerous other areas. At PRINTING United, we have organized interviews with Michael Deflorian, Chris Schowalter, and Serge Clauss, all of whom work for DURST Software Solutions. One of the key developments to be unveiled at PRINTING United is the Open Software Initiative, which aims to create a unified software ecosystem for all brands and printers. An ambitious plan that frees all vendors from being depending on, i.e. Fiery or other proprietary systems. It will be interesting to talk to the three gentlemen, but particularly with Chris Schowalter, who has a history with Fiery. We will be filming from the DURST booth on October 22nd from 3:00 PM.

Orlando is a fantastic place, and for sure, the many theme parks are attractions almost impossible to avoid, especially if you spend the weekend in Orlando with your family. Orlando is not Sin City like Las Vegas, but a short search for nightlife activities will ensure you that nightclubs and restaurants will do their best to keep you awake during the entire night, if that’s what you are into. If you are into cigars and lounges, the Corona Cigar Co. & Drew Estate Lounge is a full five-star recommendation on TripAdvisor. Of course, don’t forget the two evening events organized by PRINTING United. On Wednesday, October 22nd, you can enjoy the PBR Cowboy bar, which, by the way, has received four stars on TripAdvisor. Alternatively, on Thursday, October 23rd, you can visit Sports & Social, both events taking place from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

Orlando has not always been Orlando. It all started with a settlement back in 1838 called Fort Gatlin, a military outpost strategically located between three lakes, on a site with fresh water. Before becoming Orlando in 1875/1885, the area we now know as Orlando was called Jernigan, named after two European cattlemen. The climate attracted citrus farmers, and it was no surprise that both the counties and state used the orange as a symbol, as well as the wealth that followed. Much more to the story, of course, but always good to have a talk track for a conversation when you network at PRINTING United :-)
