Ricoh South Africa confirmed a major realignment of its operations with the adoption of a business partner-only distribution model, marking the company’s exit from direct sales and technical service in the Office Print segment. The move is designed to enhance Ricoh’s focus on innovation through local partnerships while providing customers with sustained service quality and technical support through trusted regional providers.
As part of this transition, Motswako Office Solutions has acquired selected Enterprise, Global, and Commercial customer portfolios from Ricoh South Africa. The acquisition ensures continuity for Ricoh clients and aligns with both companies’ shared commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. “This acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for Motswako Office Solutions,” said Jaco de Jager, CEO of Motswako Office Solutions. “By welcoming these Ricoh enterprise, global, and commercial clients into our network, we’re strengthening our commitment to world-class service and ensuring businesses continue to experience the quality, reliability, and innovation synonymous with the Ricoh brand.”
Motswako will integrate the newly acquired customer base into its established infrastructure, supported by experienced technical and sales teams to ensure a seamless transition. The company’s national presence and customer-centric approach are expected to deliver uninterrupted service and support for Ricoh customers during and after the handover.
The shift marks a significant milestone in Ricoh South Africa’s evolution, aligning with the company’s global strategy to strengthen collaboration with local partners and leverage regional expertise. By empowering partners such as Motswako Office Solutions, Ricoh aims to maintain its legacy of innovation and service while driving growth through a more agile, partnership-focused operating model.
