Ricoh repositions the Ricoh Pro VC40000

In 2007, Ricoh and IBM Printing Systems Division agreed to sell 51% of its share to Ricoh, effectively developing the Joint Venture known as InfoPrint Solutions Company. The deal was valued at 725 million dollars at the time, and in 2010, Ricoh was to take over the remaining shares in the Joint Venture. This is now history, but it is good to remember concerning the presentation of the renewed Pro VC40000 inkjet printer.

The Pro VC40000 is a monochrome solution available in two versions: a dye version that runs 225 meters per minute at 600x300 DPI and a pigment ink version that runs 180 meters per minute at 600x600 DPI. Both versions intend to substitute the InfoPrint IP 5000 first-generation printers and be attractive machines for direct mailers and book producers.
