Italian flexible packaging producer Sacchital has inaugurated a new 2,200m² flexographic printing facility in Pregnana, Italy, featuring the BOBST VISION CI press. This addition complements Sacchital’s existing rotogravure and digital printing capabilities and is part of a long-term strategy to serve an increasingly fragmented market more efficiently. The site, designed to eventually house four flexo presses, emphasizes cost-effective production, reduced waste, and quick turnaround across a variety of substrates and ink systems. The BOBST press is equipped with smartGPS for faster setup and reduced ink and material waste and supports both solvent- and water-based inks through dual washing circuits.
As part of this strategic investment, Sacchital is also collaborating with BOBST to integrate seven-colour extended colour gamut (ECG) printing, aiming to improve colour consistency, sustainability, and support for downstream processes. With €140 million in annual revenue and exports accounting for half of its sales, Sacchital is reinforcing its position as a major player in sustainable paper-based flexible packaging. The new facility represents a significant leap in Sacchital’s flexographic capabilities and underscores its commitment to innovation, customer responsiveness, and operational efficiency.
